UMANIFEST / WEBSITE AI VOICE AGENTS
Let your website
have a conversation.
Give visitors a way to ask about your business out loud. Umanifest sets up website-based AI voice assistants around approved business information and a clear human contact path. The visitor chooses when to begin. Your business phone lines stay yours.
Start with your idea- Voice inside your website
- Visitor choice and microphone permission
- Approved information and human follow-up
A little help while someone is looking.
A visitor may be comparing your services, checking the area you cover, or trying to work out what to include in an inquiry. A voice assistant can give them another way to ask while they stay on the website.
The starting scope is a browser conversation about your business. We decide which pages it belongs on, what it can answer, and how it fits the design. A visitor should understand that they are speaking with AI before choosing to start. Written information and your contact route remain available alongside it.
Keep the visitor in charge.
Plan the conversation around what visitors need and what your team can act on. Each stage below is agreed around your website and services.
- 01Choose to speakThe visitor starts the assistant and allows microphone access.
- 02Ask about the businessThe assistant uses the information you have approved.
- 03Find a useful next stepA relevant service page or agreed booking link stays in reach.
- 04Reach a personThe visitor can submit an inquiry for your team to review.
A first build might cover service explanations and common questions about preparation, locations or published business hours. An optional inquiry summary can help a visitor describe what they need. We agree which details are collected and let the visitor review what they submit.
Give the assistant a defined job.
You approve the business information before setup: current services, service areas, published policies and any prices it is allowed to discuss. We also write the boundaries. The assistant needs a useful response when information is missing or a question falls outside that brief.
That response can point to a page, invite a written inquiry, or explain how to contact your team. A question needing a personal quote goes to you. Financial, medical and other consequential advice is outside this website service.
A booking link can be included when it already works for your business. Direct booking actions require a separately agreed, compatible integration and testing. The assistant must not invent an available appointment or treat an unfinished request as a confirmed booking.
Design the quiet option too.
Someone may be browsing in a waiting room, using a device without a working microphone, or simply prefer typing. The planned experience includes a text or contact alternative so that voice is a choice.
Browser microphone access requires permission and a secure website connection. Permissions can be refused or left unanswered; a microphone may also be unavailable. We account for those states with understandable messages and a visible way back to the page. MDN explains these browser requirements.
The build scope names the browsers and devices to test, including agreed iPhone, Android and desktop combinations. We review readable controls, keyboard access, start and stop behavior, audio playback and connection failures. Actual support depends on the chosen voice provider and browser; compatibility is checked before committing to the setup.
Agree on the details before it goes live.
We first check your website platform, the voice provider's embedding options, account access and usage requirements. The quote separates implementation work from provider subscriptions, usage charges and any hosting. There is no automatic account or paid service connection in an initial inquiry.
Recording, transcripts and retention settings are part of the brief. We agree whether they are needed, who can access them, and what visitors should be told before a session starts. Those decisions depend on the selected provider and the actual implementation.
Testing uses approved questions, unclear requests and subjects outside the allowed answers. We also check the human contact path and how to disable the assistant. For the surrounding experience, website design can make services easier to find, while a separate AI automation project can handle an agreed internal handoff after an inquiry.
Questions about website voice.
Does this replace my business phone?
No. This service is for voice conversations inside a website. It does not take over phone lines, answer telephone calls or require number porting.
Will it start listening when a page opens?
The proposed setup starts when the visitor chooses voice and grants the required microphone permission. A clear stop control and a text or contact alternative belong in the design.
Can you set this up for a local service business?
Yes. Share the website and the questions your customers ask. Umanifest works with businesses in Tacoma, University Place, Pierce County and online across the Pacific Northwest.
