UMANIFEST / EMAIL MARKETING
Email with a clear
reason to send.
A useful email starts with a person who expects to hear from you. Umanifest helps Tacoma and Pierce County businesses plan signup forms, write messages, and set up email sequences around a defined audience and purpose.
Start with your idea- Permission-based signup
- Copy and message design
- Defined sending and stop rules
Choose one conversation to improve.
A studio may need to welcome new subscribers. A contractor may need a reminder after an unanswered quote. A shop may want to send occasional updates to people who asked for them. These situations need different messages and timing.
We start with the audience, the reason for writing, and what should happen after a reply. The brief defines the number of emails, the sending platform, and who approves the content. A focused first sequence gives the project a manageable scope.
Make the invitation clear.
Signup copy should explain what people will receive. We can plan the form fields, confirmation message, and the way permission is recorded in your email platform. Existing records need a review of where they came from and what recipients agreed to receive before any import.
We use permission-based lists and preserve unsubscribe records. A request for a quote is not treated as blanket permission for a newsletter. A new signup can be included in website design; an existing form can be reviewed during a website redesign.
Write around the reader’s next decision.
- Welcome messagesConfirm what someone signed up for, introduce the business, and point to useful information without crowding the first email.
- Quote follow-upPrepare reminders around a real inquiry or proposal, with a defined stopping point when the customer replies, declines, or moves forward.
- Newsletters and updatesWrite and format approved business news with a clear subject, readable content, and one understandable action.
- Reusable email designBuild a template around your brand, with text that still makes sense when images are unavailable and controls that are usable on a phone.
Include the setup behind the message.
The work can include sending-domain authentication and a review of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC with your provider. Requirements depend on the receiving service and sending volume. Google’s Gmail guidance distinguishes general sender requirements from additional bulk-sender requirements.
List maintenance covers failed addresses, complaints, and people who have unsubscribed. We check the available unsubscribe controls, including one-click support where required. These records should carry through platform changes so a stopped contact is not accidentally added again.
U.S. commercial-email rules include accurate sender information and subject lines, a valid postal address, and a clear opt-out route. The FTC explains the full requirements and how a message’s primary purpose affects them. Quote-related wording alone does not settle that classification.
Review the rules before turning a sequence on.
- Map the message.Define who enters, what starts the sequence, the timing, and the conditions that stop it.
- Review the content.Approve subjects, copy, links, and the reply destination. Check the template on the agreed email clients and screen sizes.
- Test and hand over.Use test contacts to review entry and exit rules, messages, and unsubscribe behavior before approved activation. Document the setup and remaining tasks.
For a broader website update, our redesign brief guide helps identify existing accounts and customer tools.
Report what the platform actually records.
The scope can include a report on sends, bounces, unsubscribe activity, and link clicks where available. We agree the period and explain what the figures measure. An open or click is not proof of a sale.
Content revisions and list maintenance can be ongoing work when included in the brief. No sending setup guarantees inbox placement, replies, or a particular return.
Questions about email projects.
Can you work with my existing email platform?
Yes, subject to its capabilities and the agreed scope. Share the platform, current forms, and any existing sequences. Subscription charges and account ownership are identified before choosing an approach.
Can I use an older customer list?
We review its collection source, permission records, and unsubscribe history first. The next action depends on those records, your provider’s rules, and the applicable requirements; an import is not assumed.
Will every message reach the inbox?
No. Authentication, list quality, recipient choices, and provider filtering all matter. We can check the setup, test agreed routes, and explain the available reports without promising inbox placement.
Can email connect with other website tools?
Related handoffs can be scoped through AI workflow automation. Spoken interaction on the website belongs in a separate website voice agent brief, with its own controls and testing.
Check the requirements for your sending plan.
Read Google’s email sender guidelines for Gmail requirements and the FTC’s CAN-SPAM guide for U.S. commercial-email rules.
